The Centre for Multilateral Affairs will be co-hosting a RightsCon session together with Facebook next week.The RightsCon takes place from June 7-11 2021. The session is on ‘Role of Digital Citizenship in Building a Safe and Inclusive Internet’. The session takes place at 12:15 – 1:15 PM EAT Wednesday June 9. The RightsCon is one of the biggest technology Conferences in the digital age hosted by accessnow. Proposed speakers include our own Head of Research, Patricia Namakula, Ece Basay, Policy Programs Manager, Facebook, Turkey, Sheetal Kumar, Global Partners Digital, Sherry Dzinoreva, Facebook, Peter Cuncliffe-Jones, University of Westminster and Dr. Emre Eren Korkmaz, Oxford University
Our Chief Executive Officer serves as a member of the RightsCon Program Committee on ‘ Norms, Accountability and Practice’ and will also be facilitating a social hour session on the topic ‘Cyberspace’ scheduled for 11:30 – 12: 30 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday June 9.
