Increasing global south participation in the UN OEWG Processes

As an Organization without ECOSOC consultative status and in line with modalities for stakeholder’s accreditation to cyber OEWG, the CfMA participates actively in the Open-Ended Working Group on Security of and in the use of Information and Communications Technologies 2021-2025. We ensure our perspectives, hinged on global south realities not only features but are constantly articulated and considered alongside other views from developing countries, African voices. This is done through informal participation via oral and written submissions, join collaboration with other diverse stakeholder groups including the African Groups.
