ABSTRACT
Many debates, discussions and opinions have weighed on the effects of COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences to the United States current hegemonic stance. Others have predicted the rise of China and the fall of the US, while others have argued it will re-shape history. The CfMA intends to contribute to this debate highlighting the evolution and shifts in balance of power from historical perspective. For instance, – the Roman,Spain,Dutch and the Great Britain as then global hegemonies. The bi-polar world between the US and the Soviet Union from 1945-1989. Finally and now – the US hegemony espoused in neo-liberal ideology and its attendants. We will offer arguments hinged on discourse of international relations and power politics
