Florence Prosper Amuge

Research Associate, AI Governance

I consider myself as a self-motivated graduate with high integrity, strong logical and analytical skills; an active team player with a desire to work in a dynamic environment. My previous experience is in the fields of agriculture and rural development where I horned my research skills. In 2022, I worked as an agricultural rural extension researcher with the Iowa State University Field Office based in Kamuli in Eastern Uganda. The field office is a Centre of excellence for piloting agricultural and rural innovation for improved farming practices in the region. In 2020 I worked on the state of apiculture in Karamoja sub region as a research assistant under the auspices of Agro Tourism Association of Uganda, the Uganda National Agriculture Development Organisation (TUNADO) and Mercy Corps. I am looking forward to gaining digital research skills and its intersection with human rights, so that I can contribute towards advancing human rights for women and marginalized communities in Uganda and internationally. CfMA offers me this great opportunity.
